The Story:

If you are looking for nightly activities this might be your place. Nights with a DJ kick in around 9pm and Mondays offer Karaoke. Cocktails and jello shots are more the scene here and there appears to be a frequent costume theme that I haven't figured out yet. Overall this is a fun place with friendly staff.

The Story:

This place works for groups both big and small. Their ample bar space means you can usually find a good seat with a couple friends, or get seated at a long table if you came with a crowd.

They have a changing snack menu that has not failed to please in the few times I've visited here. They also have giant, cozy-looking fire pits outside, that I have yet to see opened up for use.

While I've not had trouble finding a seat at the bar here, keep in mind this place will be packed on game days due to its proximity to the stadium.

The Story:

If you're looking for something more to do at a pub than just drink your beer then the Flat Stick Pub is worth a visit.  There are a handful of table games to play and even some putting lanes downstairs.

As far as the beer selection it's drink-by-the-numbers. The current selection of brews and ciders is on a digital menu on the wall above the taps numbered to match. Pub crawlers beware, however, this place is card only. No cash!

Fun rumor I learned about this place: Apparently for a brewer to gain space on this menu they are sometimes required to compete in games of mini-golf against fellow breweries.

The Story:

Here you can order fancy cheeses and meats along with wine and baguettes. The focus is more on this and signature cocktails, but don't let that make you think you won't find a good brew here. Speaking with the staff the impression I get is that they are particular about everything they stock.

The cheese selection changes frequently and can be found on a hand-written menu insert along with the meats on the other side. There are a variety of blue, goat, and cow cheeses both pasteurized and unpasteurized, imported and local.

The staff is friendly, the place looks great, and the food and drink are tasty and fun. This is a great place to check out if you are visiting Seattle or if you are looking for a new place for a date.

The Story:

I enjoyed The Lodge. Its interior is beautiful and its atmosphere is very cozy. The service is friendly and you have a lot of beers and ciders to choose from. Probably the only things needed to feel like a story book setting are a couple of roaring fire places with boiling cauldrons of stew.

The are only a couple things to be aware of here: If you are not sitting at the bar then your service will likely be slow. Also it's a little bit weird that there is a doorway that leads into the bar next door and that this is where you need to go in order to use the restroom.

Otherwise I highly recommend taking the opportunity to splurge a little bit here and try the Vintage Jameson Reserve when it's in stock.
